The Dover Water Plant is a surface water plant
that gets its water from the Cumberland River. It has the capability to produce
870,000 gallons of water per day but as of now, it averages 260,000 gallons per
day while serving approximately 3300 citizens. The
Dover Water Plant is a grade three water plant and requires an operator to have
a grade three certification. Presently the Town of Dover has five employees with
grade three certifications. The Dover Water System has three storage tanks; a
5000,000 gallon tank, a 200,000 gallon tank, and a 100,000 gallon tank as well
as an 80,000 gallon clearwell located at the treatment plant. This is in compliance
with all state and federal drinking water regulations. Tours
