The Dover Sewage Treatment Plant is an extended aeration plant. The plant has 200,000 gallons per day capacity and is presently doing about 150,000 gallons per day. The sewage plant is a grade two plant and has one employee certified in sewer and collection. The plant is currently serving 625 customers. There are 130 of these customers who have grinder pumps installed at their residences while the remaining customers are on gravity flow. The collection system has nine lift stations that bring sewage to the plant for treatment. After treatment water is discharged into the Cumberland River.
