Managment Philosophy
In accordance with the motto of the Dover Police Department, we are preparing for around the clock coverage to protect and serve the citizens of Dover. The Dover Police Department includes one chief, one sergeant and four patrol officers and three reserve officers. The department has made a commitment to employee training and professionalism. We provide and coordinate the DARE and REALITY programs in the elementary schools. We are actively involved in After School Activities for kids, Cop Camp, Click It or Ticket It, Booze It and Lose It, Fatal Vision and various other educational programs throughout the school system and community. Our routine duties include building checks, motorist assist, traffic safety, traffic accidents, domestic violence cases, theft, assaults, loud noise complaints and any other malicious criminal mischief. The Dover Police Department is always willing to assist citizens with any problem, whether major or minor, when ever we are needed.

It is the duty of Chief of Police to provide management direction and supervision of police activities in the Town of Dover. It is the goal of this department to provide police service consistent with the community's needs. Management efforts are focused on teamwork, honesty, integrity and professionalism along with employee participation in decision making. We believe in community participation in defining priorities and engaging in problem solving. We view community wellness and satisfaction as the measure of success.
