In accordance with
the motto of the Dover Police Department, we are preparing for around the clock
coverage to protect and serve the citizens of Dover. The Dover Police Department
includes one chief, one sergeant and four patrol officers and three reserve officers.
The department has made a commitment to employee training and professionalism. We are actively involved in After School Activities for kids, Cop Camp, Click
It or Ticket It, Booze It and Lose It, Fatal Vision and various other educational
programs throughout the school system and community. Our routine duties include
building checks, motorist assist, traffic safety, traffic accidents, domestic
violence cases, theft, assaults, loud noise complaints and any other malicious
criminal mischief. The Dover Police Department is always willing to assist citizens
with any problem, whether major or minor, when ever we are needed.
It is the duty of Chief of Police
to provide management direction and supervision of police activities in the Town
of Dover. It is the goal of this department to provide police service consistent
with the community's needs. Management efforts are focused on teamwork, honesty,
integrity and professionalism along with employee participation in decision making.
We believe in community participation in defining priorities and engaging in problem
solving. We view community wellness and satisfaction as the measure of success.
