A written
application shall be filed with the Dover Municipal Planning Commission through
the Office of the Building Inspector fifteen days prior to the regular meeting
of the Dover Municipal Planning Commission held on the second Monday of every
month at 5:00 P. M., at Town Hall. The application is filed by the property owner
or his/her designated agent. Submittals not received by 3:30 P. M. will not be
considered at the next Planning Commission meeting. The written application shall
state the following:
Legal description of
property
Map showing location of property
Reason that the zone
change is needed
Type of change (R to C or C to I, etc.)
Must
be dated to show submittal 15 days prior to the regular meeting of the Planning
Commission
Payment of the $25.00 fee must
accompany the filing of application
The
Planning Commission will review the application at its regular meeting if the
15 day deadline has been met.
(Property owner or his/her
agent must be present.)
The Planning Commission
will make It's recommendation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
If the Board of Mayor and Aldermen agrees with the zone change,
then it must pass the zone change on two readings.
A public Hearing shall
be held by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, before the second reading.
Please remember that this procedure could take as long as four months to go through.
